Born in Santa Catarina, South of Brazil, Ravene Voluz started dj’ing at the early age of 17, and at just 18, she decided to make the island of Ibiza her new hometown. Since her childhood, her life has been always related to music and various other art expressions. Living in Ibiza, a place where you can breath electronic culture, added to the multicultural crowd and listening the worlds cutting edge DJs/Producers, inspired her to create a platform to her own personal musical world. Also as a writer, Ravene supports the underground culture from Brazil and Ibiza through her very own column in the well-respected Brazilian magazine ‘HouseMag’, bringing news, concepts and information from her knowledge in Ibiza and Europe, to the Brazilian electronic music scene back home.
Being based on the White Isle, and also being inspired by some of the best clubs in the world, she soon found her focus and vision, and began to develop her own sound and unique style. With her sets being very well defined, meticulous and based mainly on Techno and House, it wasn’t long before you quickly got noticed and her diary began to fill up.
Shortly after touring around Europe and numerous other worldwide festivals and clubs, in 2008 she landed her first residency at one of the best clubs in the world ‘Amnesia Ibiza’. In between her summer residency Ravene played some iconic gigs, including the Love Parade (Dortmund/Ge), Ultra Music Festival (Fabrik, Madrid/ES) and a 4-hour set at Ex Festival (Trento/IT) to 6000 people. After rocking Amnesia every week, and playing many other Ibiza parties such as intimate gigs with Mauro Picotto, and Monza parties at Salinas, Ravene has continued touring in some of Europe’s best venue’s, including headlining Pacha (La Pineda/ES), B3 in Seville, Cesar Palace (Lyon, FR), Pulp (CasaBlanca/Marrocos), Villa Bivona/Toulon, PataPata (Sardegna) “Take Off” in Barcelona during Sonar, and a Spanish tour with Ron Legendário.
2009 has been the time to dedicate days in the studio, collaborating with producers and some hot new engineers. Berlin, Ibiza and London have been the base for producing some new material, along with her monthly guest radio show for Ibiza Global Radio. After just returning from playing at Home club in Amsterdam for ’ADE’ Amsterdam Dance Event, Ravene is booked out in the studio for the next 2 months collaborating and writing various new projects, including her first EP due for a release in the New Year of 2010, and some hot new remixes.
